Terms and Conditions of Use
1. License Grant & Permitted Use
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, VeloCalc grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, royalty-free license to download, install, and execute the Software on compatible mobile phones, tablets, or desktop operating systems that you own or control.
Permitted Activities:
- Performing everyday arithmetic, scientific mathematical calculations, and unit conversions.
- Evaluating hypothetical loan amortization schedules, EMI scenarios, and interest compounding projections.
- Estimating retail margins, markup percentages, discounts, and break-even sales thresholds.
- Generating branded calculation summary PDFs and sharing them via your device's native share mechanisms for personal or business recordkeeping.
2. Calculation Estimates & Strict Non-Advisory Notice
VeloCalc IS AN ESTIMATION ENGINE, NOT A LICENSED PROFESSIONAL ADVISOR.
- No Professional Relationship: Use of VeloCalc does NOT establish a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), registered tax consultant, structural engineer, legal counsel, or financial advisor relationship.
- Mathematical Approximations: VeloCalc uses high-precision decimal arithmetic
(
package:decimal) to eliminate binary floating-point roundoff errors. However, all outputs (including Loan EMI, SIP wealth growth, Amortization schedules, Compound Interest, Income Tax regime comparisons, GST breakdowns, and Construction materials) are theoretical mathematical models based entirely on your specific numerical inputs. - Real-World Variances: Actual bank loans, mortgage payments, tax liabilities, mutual fund returns, and material yields frequently diverge from theoretical formulas due to bank compounding cycles, processing fees, credit score underwriting, tax cess/surcharges, market volatility, and site construction wastage.
- Mandatory Verification Duty: You bear the sole responsibility for independently verifying all calculation results with licensed banking officers, tax authorities, or certified structural engineers before signing loan contracts, filing tax returns, or committing capital.
3. Intellectual Property Rights
All rights, title, and interest in and to the VeloCalc software—including its source code, algorithmic execution engines, user interface design, visual iconography, layout templates, and documentation—are the exclusive intellectual property of the project creators and protected by international copyright, trademark, and trade secret laws.
The open-source components incorporated within VeloCalc are licensed pursuant to their respective open-source licenses (MIT, BSD-3-Clause, Apache 2.0). Refer to our Open Source Licenses page for full attribution disclosures.
4. Prohibited Uses
When using VeloCalc, you agree not to:
- Decompile, disassemble, decrypt, reverse engineer, or attempt to derive the source code of non-open-source portions of the application.
- Repackage, white-label, rebrand, or resell the application binary on commercial marketplaces without prior written authorization.
- Circumvent, disable, or tamper with any security measures or feature controls implemented in the software.
- Use the application in any manner that violates applicable local, state, national, or international laws, including financial fraud or money laundering regulations.
5. Document Export & Native Share Sheets
VeloCalc enables users to compile and export calculation statements as PDF documents. All document compilation takes place locally on your device. When you trigger the native operating system share sheet (e.g., sharing to WhatsApp, Google Drive, Gmail, or Slack), the transmission is handled exclusively by third-party applications subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We accept no liability for the unauthorized access, interception, or loss of exported documents once transmitted outside the application.

IN JURISDICTIONS WHERE LIABILITY LIMITATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO STATUTORY CAPS, OUR AGGREGATE TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT ACTUALLY PAID BY YOU TO VeloCalc IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED UNITED STATES DOLLARS (USD $100.00 / EQUIVALENT LOCAL CURRENCY).
8. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless VeloCalc, its authors, maintainers, and contributors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or legal fees arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the application, or your reliance on calculations without independent verification.
