User Data Rights & Deletion Request Guide

Compliance Mandate: Google Play Data Deletion • DPDP 2023 • GDPR • CCPA Target Resolution: 48h Ack / 30d Resolve
Direct Deletion Guarantee: Because VeloCalc operates on an offline-first, zero-account architecture, you do NOT have to wait for an administrator to delete an online account or database record. You possess full technical capability to permanently wipe 100% of your calculation history, preferences, and cached PDF reports directly from your device at any moment.

1. Step-by-Step Data Deletion Instructions

Choose any of the following three verified methods to permanently erase all data:

Method 1: Instant In-App Calculation Tape Erasure

1. Open the VeloCalc application on your mobile device or web browser.

2. Open the History Tape Drawer (clock icon at the top of the calculator screen).

3. Tap the red "Clear All History" button (trash icon).

4. Confirm the prompt. All stored calculation records are immediately and irreversibly purged from local device memory.

Method 2: Operating System Storage Reset

1. On your device, open System Settings > Apps & Notifications.

2. Locate and tap VeloCalc.

3. Tap Storage & Cache.

4. Tap "Clear Storage" (or "Clear Data"). This resets all user preferences, chosen themes, numbering formats, and cached exchange rate tables back to factory default.

Method 3: Complete App Uninstallation

Uninstalling the VeloCalc application from your Android, iOS, or desktop operating system automatically triggers the OS sandboxed storage destruction protocol, permanently deleting all application files, preferences, and temporary PDF statements.

2. Exercising Rights under India's DPDP Act, 2023

If you are located in India, you are entitled under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 to exercise your rights as a Data Principal:

  • Right to Access: Request a summary of personal data being processed.
  • Right to Correction & Erasure: Request the correction of inaccurate data or deletion of personal data.
  • Right of Grievance Redressal: File a formal complaint regarding data handling with our designated Grievance Officer.
  • Right to Nominate: Nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of incapacity.

3. Exercising Rights under the GDPR & UK Data Protection Act

If you are a resident of the European Union, EEA, or United Kingdom:

  • You may submit a Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) under Articles 15 through 22 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679.
  • Because we do not store identifying profiles or calculation histories on servers, please provide the specific diagnostic context or email communication you wish to inspect or delete.
  • We respond to all verified DSAR submissions within one calendar month without charge.

4. Exercising Rights under US State Privacy Laws (CCPA / CPRA)

California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and other US residents may submit requests to know, access, or delete personal information. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf by providing written proof of authorization.

5. Statutory Grievance Redressal & Privacy Officer Contacts
